This site exists because of and for our members. We place a high value on them and handle problems with prompt, courteous service! Yes, we do offer a lot of free content and that is our way of giving something back to the web we have learned so much from. However, our time is limited and only members can expect to receive service on a personal level.

More Images, More Formats

Members have non-expiring access to all of the images in all formats contained on this web site. Nonmembers only have access to the first ten images in each library and only in .GIF and .UFO formats.

Access to Updates

The members library pages grow at least two hundred images every year. Members have non-expiring access to all future updates to this site.

Update note: Actually it grew well over a thousand images in the 2002 update and another big update is scheduled for 2005!

Browser Driven CD Included

The browser based navigation program and file management features are written in HTML to make the CD compatible on both PC and MAC platforms. A simple interface makes it easy to select an image and then copy it into your image editor or publishing program.

Use your favorite web browser to access the program. Although written for Internet Explorer on a PC, it will work just as well on a MAC running Netscape... It's your choice

The CD provided to new members contains the current version of the site which dates back to 2002. Our original intention was to revise and publish it each year but it has become to large to do that and would otherwise limit the growth of this site. For that reason the CD will be phased out at the next substantial revision.

Commercial Use License

Copyrights are retained by Fortweb.com on all art located on our Internet servers and CD's. We grant the original purchaser (member) a non-expiring license to use them under the the conditions outlined below.

Webmaster use license
Members who are professional web designers may use our images when building a customers web site. No link backs are required and the customer does not have to be informed of the source for images. The customer should be aware that it is commercially available clipart and not their own proprietary graphics.

Images must be used in a context sensitive format for site decoration only. They may not be displayed or offered as clip art or in any way that implies the images may be downloaded and reused by a third party for any purpose.

What else is covered by the license?
Current members may use our images in any personal and business applications that they will work sufficiently well in! This includes the use on items intended for resale to an end user.

Note:

When our art is used in printed applications that are published, we request an acknowledgment in the form of "Images used under license from photoimpact-objects.com".

Restrictions

We allow members to use our images for end user applications. What we do not allow is the redistribution of our images as art, clipart, designs, tubes, stamps, etc. for reuse by another party.

Mirroring or copying these images is strictly forbidden. You may not offer any of our images in collections of clip art or individually to a third party at any cost or for free.

This includes images that are modified or added to other art. Redistribution of our images via any form of electronic or printed media is strictly forbidden.

Some examples...

A good example would be digitizing these images for embroidery machines. It is acceptable to do this in order to sew on clothing or products for personal use or on items that you offer for sale. However, it is not acceptable to offer those digitized designs to a third party for use in any format, downloaded, on disk or printed.

Another example is the making of PhotoImpact Stamps or Paint Shop Pro Tube files. Although it is acceptable to make these for your own use, it is not acceptable to offer them to a third party on disk or as a download from a web site.
